I'm sorry for not having been here for such a long time.
I have been busy and not busy.
I've been busy with the ECO pop-upstore which we decided to prolong its opening till the end of June. I've been busy with Marjolein to expand our Plustwee collection with beautiful felt baskets (I'll show you pictures of that later). And I have been working on some small new non-textile products for the pop-upstore.
I've been also NOT busy, simply because of illness, or boredom and of creative rut feelings, which occurs on a regular basis :(

Since I have a smartphone I realize how much work it actually is to maintain a constant update of this blog: catch my camera, upload the pictures to the computer, adjust size and shape in photoshop, then upload them into the blog and write something sensible.
Nowadays I mostly post on Instagram. The pictures above are the 'clean' unfiltered ones I recently posted on Instagram.
So... I invite you all to follow me on instagram (too) and I hope to meet you there!

exhibition

Weet je nog dat wij  ++ Plustwee een één-dagsverkoopexpositie hebben a.s. ZONDAG 30 SEPTEMBER in de Theeschenkerij Homanshof in Anloo?! Van 11:00 tot 17:00 uur zijn we daar. We noemen het Kunst bij de Thee, maar je kunt er ook heerlijke taartjes bij krijgen! Ik neem ook mijn eigen werk mee (tassen, etuis, armbandjes etc.)

De namen van andere deelnemende kunstenaars zijn:

biobased

Experimenting with biobased materials yesterday gave us (Plustwee) remarkable and exciting results. Pictures show samples of potato flower which looks and behaves like plastic.

With a small group of designers and artists we will join the grand opening event on 21 and 22 September of the old CiBoGa terrain in Groningen initiated and organised by House of Design and  Open Lab Ebbinge. We will show our work and these results from experimenting with new biobased materials like bioplastic, hemp, yarn of lactic acid.
The event coincides with the Creative City Challenge (CCC).

one day exhibition

On Sunday 30 September from 11 till 17h. ++Plustwee (my new collaboration with textile designer Marjolein Perin) will participate in a ONE DAY SALE-EXHIBITION in "theeschenkerij Homanshof" in Anloo.
This will actually be one of the last occasions in which our new collection of cushions can be bought directly from us. In the very near future our products will be part of the Young&Hanson collection. We are very proud and pleased about that! So please come and pay a visit in Anloo on the 30th.

Cultural Sunday

Next Sunday July 1, Marjolein and me will be guest artitsts at the Cultural Sunday from 13h - 17h in Het Paleis in Groningen. You can find us in the workroom (no 166) of Petra Koonstra on the first floor.
We'll show, present and sell our ++Plustwee cushions. Following the theme of this Cultural Sunday (see flyer above) you can see us in action as we'll be actually really working and of course you may ask questions on the design and work process. We'll also bring some solowork of Van San and lamps of Marjolein Perin.

EXHIBITION
On Sunday April 1 a  ++PLUSTWEE exhibition is held at 'Open Atelier nr 103' from 11 till 16.30 h. (Dorpsstraat 103, Zuidlaarderveen). Also some solo work of Marjolein and me will be shown and can be bought. So if you missed out on the Wonen&Co Ontmoetdesign fair (meet design) last week, you're very welcome to pay us a visit next Sunday. The entrance is free.

WONEN&CO review
We had such great successes and reactions on our new collection at the Wonen&Co fair. People were amazed by our colour combinations and by our inspiration from aerial photographs of Dutch landscapes. The pictures of the cushions on my Pinterest have been repinned over hunderd times already!
We've met some nice designers too: sweet and modest Jildou Lindhout of Studio Zijn with her lamp Ivy and we had many laughs with lovely crazy sweet tooth William van der Velde aka Kunsteboer , who couldn't keep away from our softness (the cushions) and our sweet treats :-)

Ah, I see the picture shows only 5 cushions, we have six!

++ Plustwee is ready for the Ontmoetdesign (meet design) Fair next Thursday in Groningen!
Marjolein and I will be presenting six hand felt and hand printed cushions, ready to be admired and sold. 

We worked hard as we only got 4 weeks to get ready for the fair, but the work process and atmosphere between us was great! We had fun, I hope you like the results. I'd love to hear from you what you think of it: encouragements and critisism are needed - always, but especially when presenting something new. Thank you.

'Plustwee' is the name of our newborn partnership of Marjolein Perin and me. 
Since a year or so I wanted to co-work with Marjolein and after seeing my newest designs in printing, my colour combinations she finally said yes! Kick off!

House of Design asked us to participate in the Ontmoetdesign in the Wonen&Co fair in March, from 15th till 18th in Groningen. I felt a bit honoured, so we agreed to join as it is an excellent opportunity to  present our first handmade + + products.

We're working hard... and I'm happy!!   1+1= plustwee

It was great fun and so nice to be in the company of fellow worker Marjolein. We are

planning to create a co-collection and are asking ourselves it we need a name for this cooperation.
We have not decide yet but we think it's going to be something simple like  +  because it's such an asset and a value to work together.
