A nice weekend with brother and sister and the kids in a wooden castle at wooded and wonderful campsite 'de Roos'.  I enjoyed the company and scenery. It's great strolling through these woods and slightly hilly area. Even the toilet visits for the wide wide open window - the latter not only due to my inbalanced stomach and intestines - were enjoyable: a woodpecker at the base of the nearest tree only 2 m away...

sweet tooth

I have a bit of a sweet tooth and my kids too. But I want us to eat healthy sweets at tea time instead of all the cheap rubbish with white sugar and artificial colorants.
(help, Sintmaarten is coming! i.e. kind of Halloween).
Hence I bought these raw chocolate and energy bars from Chocodelic. They have the following assets:
*full of minerals
*full of antioxidants
*rich on love chemicals
*low on glycemic values
*they taste really really nice! 

I ordered the mixed boxes but if you ask Irene nicely she'll probably send you a sample of each bar/taste. Right Irene?

birthday

It's my husband's birthday today, hurray for his 44 years!
I promised him to make portrets of the girls and print them on canvas. I started too late with this assignment, no doubt. The major threshold difficulty was how to put the two girls in a picture in a representative way since they can't seem to act normally and are constantly making funny faces when they are the focus of your attention! So I ended up photographing them apart and doing a hell of a job of layman-photoshopping!
So I ended up with this....

I can't see things clear anymore after hours of staring at the screen. What do you think of this result?

I'm so very proud of my enterprising kids...
Yet I have never touched the topic of perseverence in such undertaking. I don't want to discourage them on forehand, neither do I want them to be disappointed afterwards....

Today is our wedding anniversary! The sun is shining, a nice cup of coffee in our green garden!
Since I'm not really into traditions we didn't celebrate our 12,5th anniversary. So we planned to go sailing to Terschelling this weekend. Sadly enough I will not join the trip because I'm still not strong enough...! We'll do that together some other time this summer.
